GratCal is a simple gratuity calculator designed for iPhone. Unlike many other iPhone tip calculators, it looks like a calculator and is only one screen. The tip amount is calculated based on three user-defined percentages according the level of service the user received during their meal.

The premise is that most people have a rule of thumb when they leave a tip. Some people always give twenty-percent (20%) whereby some give fifteen-percent (15%). However, when the service is bad or exceptional, they give more or less. GratCal allows you to pick a standard and not have to think about it by selecting the quality of service.

Note: This calculator is for calculating the tab total to include tax.

The primary features include:

Entering the bill amount like a calculator.

Calculating the tip amount based on three user-set percentage amounts based on service received:

- Below – This is for times when the meal service was below the expectations of the user. By default, it is set to 15%.
- Met - This is for times when the meal service met the expectations of the user. By default, is it set to 20%.
- Exceeded – This is for times when the meal service exceeded the expectations of the user. By default, it is set to 25%

Split – Once the user enters their tab amount and selects the gratuity percentage, they may click on the Split button to split the total bill. Each time they press the Split button, it will split it one more time showing the number of splits.

Round – the user may round up the tip amount to the nearest dollar.
